Coat Day and Christmas Fun!...Thanks to all the volunteers who helped us make this year's event a success. Our clothes shed volunteers, Greenwood Community Nazarene Carolers, Santa Claus, Richard Thomason and his friends, and Emerald High Interact volunteers. We all enjoyed cookies compliments of our friends with First Baptist Church Book Club. Santa gave out goodies and books to all the kids. Feliz Navidad!!
LaPuerta's " Viviendo Mejor" class collected small gifts, candy, school supplies, and hygiene items and packed over 20 shoe boxes for the Samaritan's Purse Christmas Child program. This year's class emphasis is looking "beyond ourselves" at the great needs of others around the world.

Annual Mexican Dinner Fundraiser
A highly anticipated event for the past four years has been our Mexican Dinner fundraiser. Taking advantage of the wonderful cooks in our community, we cook traditional Mexican favorites and sell tickets, giving the whole Greenwood community the opportunity to help support the work of La Puerta. Dancers and a Mariachi Band entertain and it is an evening of great food and fun...Latino style! Click here for more information.
Christmas Activities
La Puerta de Esperanza holds a live nativity scene around the Christmas season each year. The Christmas story is retold around a fire and friends enjoy warm drinks and fellowship together.
